Comrade Giwa Moore Appointed Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on LASTVEB

Kakalistiq.com reports that Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Comrade Murtala Giwa Moore as the new Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on the Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB), signalling a commitment to upskilling and integrating young people into the labour market.

In an official letter dated April 23, 2024, and signed by the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, the appointment takes effect from April 22, 2024, to May 21, 2027. Comrade Moore is directed to work closely with the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, emphasizing adherence to the code of conduct and organizational guidelines for political appointees. The appointment is also subject to asset declaration at the Code of Conduct Bureau.

Expressing his thoughts on the appointment, Comrade Giwa Moore highlighted his dedication to contributing to the development of vocational and technical education in Lagos State. “I am honoured to be appointed as Senior Special Assistant on LASTVEB by Governor Sanwo-Olu,” he stated. “I am committed to supporting the Governor’s vision to stimulate and encourage technical and vocational education as a foundation for early technical awareness, entrepreneurship, and job opportunities.”

Moore’s extensive network and initiatives for students and youths are expected to enhance LASTVEB’s efforts in providing quality technical education and formalizing the informal sector. His past recognitions, including the Most Outstanding Student Award and the Epe Division Youth Influencer of the Year, attest to his exemplary endeavours and leadership qualities.

Moore, a graduate of the University of Abuja with a degree in Political Science, is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Analysis. His educational background and experience in public relations and advertising equip him to contribute effectively to LASTVEB’s mandate of overseeing technical colleges and vocational centres across Lagos State.
