kakalistiq.com reports that Barrister Omodele Ibrahim, President of the prestigious Epe-Ogunmodede Club and a well-respected son of the soil, has extended warm greetings to all faithful and residents of Epe, urging them to embrace the true essence of Eid, sacrifice, submission, compassion, and peace.

“This festival is not just a commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and obedience to Allah; it is a call for us all to uphold the values of patience, justice, and communal love,” Barrister Ibrahim said in his Eid message.

Eid-il-Kabir, a major heritage of Islam, has long been woven into the spiritual and cultural fabric of the Epe community. The annual observance reaffirms the town’s strong Islamic roots and the collective identity of a people guided by divine values and ancestral wisdom.

However, Barrister Ibrahim acknowledged the concerns surrounding the recent kingship matters that have stirred emotions and tested the unity of the Eko-Epe community. He appealed for calm, mutual respect, and collective faith in the time-honoured processes that define the integrity of the community.

“While we are aware of the tensions occasioned by recent developments in our traditional leadership space, let us not lose sight of who we are as a people, noble, respectful, and deeply spiritual. Let us approach this Eid with the hope that justice will not only be done but be seen to be done,” he stated.

He assured all sons and daughters of Epe, at home and in the diaspora, that the community’s elders, traditional chiefs, and stakeholders remain committed to upholding the principles of equity, fairness, and historical truth.

“As custodians of our heritage, we owe it to our ancestors and our future generations to manage our differences with wisdom and to resolve our disputes through dialogue, not division. I have unwavering confidence in our elders and traditional leaders to guide the process with dignity and neutrality,” he affirmed.

Barrister Ibrahim concluded with a prayer for peace and prosperity in Epe and across Nigeria, urging everyone to use this sacred season as an opportunity to renew their commitment to community growth, moral uprightness, and the pursuit of the common good.

As the aroma of sacrificial rams fills the air and families gather in celebration, may the spirit of Eid-il-Kabir rekindle the bonds that hold Epe together and inspire a new season of peace, progress, and unity.
