Epe Christmas Concert Dazzles with Youthful Creativity and Artistic Brilliance.

The enchanting spirit of the Yuletide season came alive in Epe as the 3rd edition of the Epe Christmas Concert Christmas Opera unfolded, a spectacular event organized by the D’Quell Choir and the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA) of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija, Epe.

Dazzling the audience with a spectacular showcase of youthful creativity and artistic brilliance. The event was held at the Multipurpose Hall in MOCPED on December 8th, 2023. From soulful musical renditions to mesmerizing dance routines, the concert emerged as a testament to the flourishing artistic endeavors of the youth, spreading joy and festive cheer. It featured thrilling performances, including the Yoruba opera titled “Ibi” (The Birth).

The lineup also included stellar performances from Ayanniyi Empire, Dammy Sax, Peter Sax, Lanre Da Guitarboy, MC CosmosKay, Oromidayo, and MC Slim Baba’Badan. The A-Plus Entertainment Dance Troupe showcased electrifying dances and drumming, captivating the audience.

In celebration of vibrant talent, the acting provost of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Dr. Ganiyat Kosoko-Oyedeko, showered commendations on students and youths of the community for their outstanding creative prowess. She expressed appreciation to the organizers and praised the students for their consistent display of dedication and commitment during weeks of preparation. “We are happy to witness this event. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance,” she added.

Dignitaries, including Mr. Saseyi, Mr. Okunlola Bayo, Mr. Elijah Thompson, Mrs. Abimbola, and others, commended the organizers for providing a platform for young talents to thrive in various creative arts.

Mr. Ademola Adedoyin, the convener of D’Quell Choir, thanked the college and partners for their support and highlighted the concert’s role in empowering young talents. Despite sponsorship challenges, he remains steadfast in championing the cause of nurturing talented students in the school and the community, ensuring the continued success of the event as a platform for creativity and personal growth.

“The concert, in the last three years, has become a platform for young talents to build confidence, grow, and explore the world of creative arts. We will continue to show young people that they can harness their numerous talents for prosperity and personal growth,” he said.
