EPWA Celebrates Lagos First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on Birthday Anniversary

kakalistiq.com reports that the Epe Division Professional Women Association (EPWA), under the leadership of its President, Mrs. Folakemi Oluyemi-Johnson, has on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Excos and members joined Lagosians in celebrating the birthday anniversary of the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.

The association in a statement released today described the First Lady as a “pillar of support and inspiration” not only to the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s impactful administration but the entire women folk.

The association commended Dr. Sanwo-Olu for her impactful initiatives aimed at improving the lives of youths, women, and children in Lagos State particularly with the provision of healthcare support to vulnerable communities. “Her Excellency’s commitment to maternal and child health has helped reduce maternal and infant mortality rates significantly,” said Mrs. Oluyemi-Johnson in a statement issued by EPWA.

It further noted that the First Lady deserves to be celebrated as she has made strides in economic empowerment and skill acquisition workshops as well as supporting widows and less-privileged women in the state. “Her efforts to equip women with life-changing skills underscore her passion for fostering economic independence,” Oluyemi-Johnson added.

The association stated that Dr. Sanwo-Olu’s contributions to education have also been noteworthy, with initiatives aimed at keeping children in school through the provision of educational materials to underserved areas. Her advocacy for the protection of children’s rights through anti-abuse campaigns has further solidified her reputation as a compassionate leader.

Mrs. Oluyemi-Johnson expressed heartfelt prayers for the First Lady. “We pray for continued strength, wisdom, and the resources to keep impacting lives and inspiring women in Lagos State and beyond,” she said.

EPWA reaffirmed their appreciation for Dr. Sanwo-Olu’s dedication to inclusiveness and societal development, as they celebrate her life and legacy on this special occasion.
