kakalistiq.com reports that Hon. Wale Ikujenya, the immediate past councilor representing Ward A4 in Epe Local Government, extended warm congratulations to Princess Surah Animashaun on her swearing-in as the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government for a second term.

Hon. Ikujenya, in an interview granted during the grand finale of the 2025 Epe Kayokayo Festival, seized the medium to congratulate the newly elected councilors in the area.

He described the chairman’s reappointment by the Governor of Lagos State yesterday as a testament to her impactful first-term leadership. He expressed confidence that her renewed mandate would bring about even greater developmental strides across various sectors within the local economy.

“Princess Surah has proven her mettle through her first tenure, and I have no doubt this second term will consolidate on past gains. Our people deserve the best, and I believe she’s up to the task,” Ikujenya said.

Reflecting on his own time in office, Hon. Ikujenya expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve Ward A4 for eight consecutive years. He highlighted key achievements recorded under his tenure, including improvements in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, educational support programs, and multiple grassroots-focused initiatives that cut across both federal and state-backed interventions.

He attributed these successes to the unwavering support of party leaders and stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as the cooperation of traditional rulers, community leaders, and constituents. “I am sincerely grateful for the trust and encouragement I received throughout my service. Together, we achieved a lot,” he said.

In a note of advice to his successor, the former councilor emphasized the importance of humility, inclusion, and collaboration. He urged the newly-elected councilor of Ward A4 to embrace all political and community stakeholders, and to prioritize the unity and peace of the ward for the overall growth of the constituency.

“Leadership is about service, not division. I appeal to our people to maintain peace and work together. We can achieve more when we are united,” he added.
