Rep. Wale Raji Takes Royal Helm as ‘Bobaselu of Agbowa,’ Says Conferment is a Call to Duty and Development.

In a surprising twist of fate, reports that Rep. Wale Raji, the distinguished lawmaker of Epe Federal Constituency and Chair of the House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), embraced the prestigious title of “Otunba Bobaselu of Agbowa” as a resounding call to duty.

The unexpected distinction was bestowed upon him by the newly installed Abowa of Agbowa, HRM Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson, during a courtesy visit on Saturday, January 13th, 2024.

In his address, Rep. Wale Raji expressed gratitude for the recognition and affirmed his commitment to service. Despite missing his installation due to official engagements, he conveyed joy and camaraderie to the monarch and the people of Agbowa, emphasizing his decades-long connection with the community.

The lawmaker, basking in the euphoria of the astounding pronouncement, highlighted the significant role bestowed upon him, stating, “Bobaselu implies that it is now our joint responsibility. I am your Special Adviser by that appointment. If we call it the Chief of Staff or Special Adviser to Abowa of Agbowa, it is still in line with the visions of progress and development towards the community, and I will not disappoint you.”

Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson, in a surprising pronouncement, hailed Rep. Wale Raji for his quality representation and leadership, presenting the honorary title as a token of appreciation for the unprecedented development brought to the Epe Federal Constituency. “Your humility is enviable,” the excited monarch added, acknowledging Raji’s leadership and support predating his ascension to the throne.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Hon. Dehinsilu Wasiu expressed gratitude for Rep. Wale Raji’s exemplary service and presented pressing community needs, including employment opportunities, roads, markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. In response, the legislator pledged to live up to the responsibilities of the title, assuring the provision of additional developmental projects.
