The public endorsement according to a statement released by the ADCO Media Team came during a strategic gathering led by the Youth Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Sanni, alongside prominent youth leaders, including Comrade Adesanya Adedotun, Comrade Ogundipe Bowale, Comrade Raji Olasile, and Comrade Taofeek Adeoye. The event featured the unveiling of branded items, symbolizing their collective backing for Anomo’s second term in office.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Sanni emphasized that their support transcends personal ties or sentiments, highlighting Anomo’s track record of impactful governance. He noted that the Chairman’s tenure has been marked by significant infrastructural development, social welfare programs, and progressive policies that have positively transformed the community.

“We are not supporting him because he’s from Ito-Ikin; we are supporting him because his achievements speak for themselves. His impact is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf,” Sanni said.

The youth leaders urged all residents, political stakeholders, and community members to unite in support of Anomo’s re-election, expressing confidence that his leadership will continue to foster growth and development across the LCDA.

In his response, Otunba Anomo expressed heartfelt appreciation for the endorsement from the youths of his hometown, describing it as deeply motivating.

“Charity, they say, begins at home, and I am immensely proud of the support from the vibrant youths of Itoikin. Your belief in my leadership fuels my commitment to do more. I assure you that youth development will remain a priority in my administration, with more programs aimed at empowering our young population for the greater good of our community and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA at large,” Anomo stated.

The event also saw the presence of esteemed community elders and clerics, including Chief Mrs Esther Raji, the Chief Imam of the Itoikin Community, Chief Mrs Modupe Areh, and Mr. Omogoroye, among others. They commended the youth body for their unity and vision, offering prayers for continued peace and progress in the community.

As the 2025 elections draw closer, the resounding support from Ito-Ikin youths has set the stage for what many describe as a community-driven endorsement rooted in visible performance and a shared vision for sustained development.
