kakalistiq.com reports that the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA have reaffirmed their commitment to conducting free, fair, and credible local government elections, as its Chairman, Justice Bola Ighile, led a delegation to inspect preparedness in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Agbowa.
The team was warmly received by the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, alongside council executives, legislators, and management staff.

Speaking during the visit, Otunba-Akogun Anomo commended LASIEC’s proactive approach in ensuring the readiness of its offices and pledged the council’s support in facilitating a smooth electoral process.
In her remarks, Justice Ighile assured residents of the commission’s dedication to upholding electoral integrity. “We are fully prepared to conduct free, fair, and credible elections. LASIEC will adhere strictly to electoral guidelines and collaborate with stakeholders to create a conducive environment for voters,” she stated.
The LASIEC Chairman also emphasized the importance of voter education, security, and logistical planning, urging the council to mobilize residents for peaceful participation in the polls.
Among the key officials present were the LCDA Vice Chairman, Alh. Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu; Council Manager, Mr. Sunday Awobajo; Leader of the House, Hon. Hassan Mustapha Owolabi; as well as other cabinet members, legislators, and the Commission’s Electoral Officer for Ikosi-Ejinrin.
Since its inauguration by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on January 10, 2025, LASIEC has been engaging with local councils across the state to ensure adequate support for a smooth and credible election process later in the year.
