LCDA Chairman Acknowledges Progress on Ikorodu-Itoikin Expressway Rehabilitation During Site Visit

In a proactive move to monitor the progress of the vital rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Ikorodu-Itoikin expressway, reports that Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the dynamic Executive Chairman of the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, paid a visit to the site office of GELD Construction Company Limited at Ajebo Community.

During the visit on Wednesday, January 24, 2023, Chairman Anomo engaged with the project engineer, Engr. Melox, and site engineers, Engr. Hamza and Engr. Peter. He commended GELD Construction for their commendable palliative work, aimed at addressing immediate commuting challenges on the road. Chairman Anomo assured the construction company of the council’s unwavering cooperation in the ongoing efforts.

Special recognition was extended to Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Hon. Tasir Wale Raji for their substantial contributions to reconstructing the 34km expressway, emphasizing the collaborative spirit underpinning the project.

GELD Construction Ltd.’s ongoing palliative measures are strategically designed to alleviate road-related challenges for commuters until the comprehensive reconstruction of the expressway begins, a project slated to commence soon.

In response to the visit, Project Engineer Engr. Melox expressed gratitude to Chairman Anomo for taking the time to assess the site. He reiterated GELD Construction’s commitment to delivering a road of exceptional standards and conveyed enthusiasm for a more committed and fruitful relationship with Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
