…Education Endowment, Scholarship Scheme, and Cooperative Society Unveiled at Inauguration Ceremony.

In a historic event that echoed with promises of community upliftment, Alhaji Abdullahi, the newly sworn-in President of the prestigious Stallion Circle, has pledged to revolutionize Epe through groundbreaking education initiatives. The inauguration ceremony, held at Eid Street, Epe, Lagos State, on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, marked a momentous occasion as the accomplished Editor of the Nigeria Tribune Newspaper assumed the mantle of leadership.

Alhaji Abdullahi wasted no time in unveiling his visionary plans for the Circle, announcing the launch of an education endowment for indigent students in Epe. In addition, a scholarship scheme and a cooperative society were introduced to provide financial assistance to members facing economic challenges. The ambitious agenda sets a new trajectory for the renowned association, positioning it as a catalyst for positive change in the community.

During his inaugural address, President Abdullahi emphasized the core value of togetherness within the association, declaring, “Our slogan is Togetherness; therefore, we have to rise together and be together.” He underscored his commitment to expanding the membership strength of the Circle, vowing that the association will not rest on its laurels but will continually strive for excellence.

Former President of the Circle, Mr. Ekundayo Omitaomu, lauded the club as an elegant institution filled with humble personalities dedicated to the development of Epe. He urged Epe youths to prioritize education and eschew cultism for a brighter future.

Reflecting on the association’s rich history, Alhaji Moshood Odofin celebrated the enduring friendship and bond of the Circle, refuting the notion that “20 children cannot be together for 20 years.” He proudly declared that Circle members have remained united for over 30 years, with their camaraderie strengthening day by day.

Hon. Olowa, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, congratulated the Circle on their achievements and urged them to partner with the government in taking the Epe Division to greater heights. “Coming together like this is a rare commitment because you invest your time and resources; so, it is a very rare virtue. Few people are committed to community development, and I believe members of this circle are part of them. I look forward to ensuring a good relationship with you. As a government, we plan to take the Epe Division to a greater height, and I invite you to partner with us,” he averred.

The outgoing president, Alhaji Idris Lukman Olusesan, also expressed confidence in the new president’s ability to lift the club with his vast experience. “Alhaji Adebowale is a seasoned editor, a good, gentle man, and a responsible friend, whose vast experience will lift the club.”

The colourful inauguration ceremony, marked by merriment and fun, saw Hon. Olowa bestowed with the honorary membership of the circle in recognition of his exceptional performance as chairman.

In a resounding finale, the Stallion Circle’s new executive embarks on a transformative journey, promising a future where education, unity, and community development take centre stage, leaving an indelible mark on the vibrant town of Epe.
