Kakalistiq.com reports that the Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School Obantoko, Abeokuta Old Students Association (NUDGOSA) recently gathered for its 2023 biannual convention at the school compound, electing new officers to steer the association towards continued growth.
Chaired by Dr. Kazeem Funsho Bello, the convention welcomed distinguished personalities, including Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, Chief Niyi Lasaki, the First Vice Chairman of the Abeokuta Club and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for NUDGOSA, Rt Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, and Prof. Oluwole Banjo, Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode, who served as the Guest Speaker.
Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola expressed joy at the reunion of familiar faces and emphasized the importance of such events in fostering connections and meaningful development.
As a member of the 1997 set, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, who organized the inaugural convention in 2005 during his tenure as the secretary to the state government, urged the newly elected officers to focus on completing ongoing projects initiated by the association.
Rt. Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo, in his address, encouraged members to leverage the platform to strengthen their sense of belonging. He recognized the significant developments within the school premises initiated by the alumni and stressed the pivotal role of former students in contributing to the growth of their alma mater.
