Rep. Wale Raji Empowers 100 MSMEs to Boost Epe’s Economy.

In a bold move to uplift small and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) in Epe Federal Constituency, kakalistiq.com reports that Rep. Wale Raji has completed a transformative five-day entrepreneurship training and empowerment program.

The initiative, which ran from March 3 to March 5, 2025, at the Epe LG Council Chambers, saw 100 market traders and micro-business owners receive critical business training and financial support of ₦100,000 each.

The program, organized in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and Dorcella Company Limited, focused on equipping participants with vital entrepreneurial skills to thrive in an evolving economic landscape.

Led by Dr Hassan Temidayo, a seasoned academic and business consultant, alongside Dr Folashade Aminu and Mr Obanla Rasheed, the training covered crucial topics such as business orientation, entrepreneurship fundamentals, creativity, innovation, ICT in enterprise management, and strategic business planning.

During the certificate presentation on Friday, Epe APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Toyin Gbadamosi lauded Rep. Wale Raji’s commitment to grassroots development. Echoing the sentiments of Epe LG Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, he praised the lawmaker for leveraging the President Bola Tinubu-led administration’s policies to bring democratic dividends to constituents. “Rep. Wale Raji has been a shining light in his drive to transform Epe through infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture,” he stated.

Eredo LCDA APC Apex Leader, Mrs Stella Odudolapo, APC Women Leader in Epe LGA, Alhaja Adekunle Oluwo and her Eredo LCDA counterpart, Princess Olayemi, also commended the initiative. Mrs Odudolapo emphasized the importance of financial discipline among artisans and small business owners, urging them to establish credible relationships with lenders and make the most of the training opportunity.

Mr. Hassan Bashir, Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji, described the program as the beginning of new opportunities for the beneficiaries. “This initiative is not just a one-time event. The participants have gained valuable skills and strategies that will help grow their businesses and contribute to Epe’s socioeconomic development,” he noted.

Otunba Wale Olusesi, Senior Legislative Aide on Works, highlighted the impact of Rep. Wale Raji’s infrastructural projects, stating that ongoing road, school, and health centre developments will further stimulate economic growth in the constituency.

Lead facilitator Dr Hassan Temidayo commended the trainees for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue learning and attending business development programs. The President of the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), alongside several beneficiaries including Ojikutu Temitope Alhaji Ishau Ismail, Ramota, Kayode Lukman, Onabanjo Adetola, Dosunmu Hafeez and Omotola Ahmed, described the initiative as a milestone achievement for the constituency and appealed for more programs to sustain the economic growth momentum.

With ₦10 million injected into local businesses, this initiative stands as a testament to Rep. Wale Raji’s unwavering commitment to empowering his constituents and fostering long-term economic prosperity in Epe Federal Constituency.
