kakalistiq.com reports that residents of Samson Adeniyi Street in Agbowa will enjoy Christmas on a newly constructed road, as announced by Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA). In a statement on his official Facebook page, Anomo revealed the project is nearing completion and shared his hands-on involvement in the process.
“I’m thrilled to share that the Samson Adeniyi Street project in Agbowa is almost ready,” Anomo posted. “Earlier today, I personally operated the asphalt roller, laying the final section of the road as part of my commitment to delivering this project before Christmas.”
The road construction, which began on October 10, 2024, was aimed at improving accessibility to key facilities such as the Agbowa General Hospital, Magistrate Court, Methodist Primary School, and Agbowa Police Station. Previously in poor condition, the road now features high-quality asphalt paving, efficient drainage systems, and designs ensuring durability.
“This road was in a deplorable state, causing difficulties for both residents and commuters. We prioritized building a durable and accessible roadway to transform the experience of those who use it daily,” Anomo explained.
The chairman emphasized the significance of the project for the community. “This initiative reflects our administration’s dedication to meaningful development. It’s not just about infrastructure; it’s about improving the quality of life for our people,” he said.
Residents have lauded the council’s proactive leadership and the swift execution of the project. “This is a testament to the chairman’s dedication to his promises,” remarked a community leader during an inspection visit.
The road is set for official commissioning soon, with Anomo reiterating his administration’s commitment to driving transformation and sustainable development across the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
