Sanwo-Olu Commissions Housing Schemes in Lagos as Alayandelu, Anomo Commends Project Completion.

Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned two housing schemes in the Ikosi/Ejinrin Local Council Development Area of Epe Division, Lagos State to arrest housing deficits in the Center of Excellence.

The Governor who was represented by both the Special Adviser on Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, and the Special Adviser on Commerce and Industry, Hon. Abiola Olowu, simultaneously commissioned the LagosHoms consisting of 660 home units in Odo-Ayandelu/Onosa and the Resettlement Housing Scheme in Ado-Ikosi at, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

The duo expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for their overwhelming support during the last election which translated to the triumph of the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Governor himself, and all other candidates of the All Progressives Congress.

“The Housing Estate will go a long way to mitigate the housing deficit in the state while the Resettlement center at Ado-Ikosi is purposely designed to provide support to refugees and displaced persons during emergencies.

“The significance of community cooperation with the government can not be overstretched and it is important to let you know that these housing projects are the resultant effects of healthy collaboration, peaceful coexistence, and hospitality.

“I want to restate the commitment of Mr. Governor to further deepen the development of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Epe Division, and the entire Lagos State during his second term in office,” Hon. Ogunlende said.

While delivering his speech, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, congratulated Governor Sanwoolu on his re-election, acknowledging the remarkable progress, stability, and prosperity that characterized his first term in office. The Executive Chairman expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for overseeing numerous projects that have positively impacted Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. He commended the Governor’s strategic vision and deliberate efforts in ensuring equitable development across all areas of Lagos State. “As a people with a strong passion for development, we are willing to allocate our lands for similar housing projects and I promise to invite the Governor soon to inaugurate several other significant milestones achieved during my tenure,” he said.

 

While addressing the gathering, the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (Bldr) Asunmo Balogun, reflected on the challenges encountered on the project. He, however, expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwoolu for successfully completing the housing scheme, which he said will astronomically influence the socio-economic prosperity of the host communities. Alaiyeluwa also seized the medium to confer an honorary chieftaincy title to Hon. Segun Adetola as “Otunba Atunluse of Odo-Ayandelu” in recognition of his unflinching support towards the project.

At the event, it was gathered that the honorable Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Maruf Akinderu Fatai was represented at both events by his Senior Special Assistant, Esv. (Otunba) Ayodeji Amodu, while the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Housing, Mr. Kamar Olowosago was ably represented by the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Akanji Kayode James Shadare (AKJ) of the Ministry of Housing.

Other dignitaries present include Alh. Ganiyu Adio Akintola; Chief Olufemi Dehinsilu; Vice Chairman, Alh. Wasiu Dehinsilu; APC Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Wittu Ajenifuja; APC Leaders; Supervisory Councillors; Council Legislators; the DPO of Agbowa Police Division, and several other distinguished individuals

Others include His Royal Majesty, Oba M.A Abdul, the Olofin-Ajaiye of Orugbo-Iddo and High-Chief (Engr.) Shakiru Kunle Odufowora, the Regent of Agbowa-Ikosi.
