The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Mrs. Oluwakemi Amudat Adedeji as a Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Civil Service.
This appointment marks a major career milestone for Mrs. Adedeji, who is the current Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman of the Epe Division Professional Women Association, a respected women-led group in the state.
Mrs. Adedeji, a highly experienced civil servant and Director of Administration and Human Resources on Grade Level 17 in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, was among nine top-performing civil servants promoted to the prestigious role of Permanent Secretary in various ministries and agencies.
The news was officially communicated through a circular signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, dated September 23, 2025, with reference number CIR/HOS/’25/Vol.I/069. The letter was addressed to top government officials across Lagos, including the Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, the Chief Judge, Commissioners, and Local Government Chairpersons, among others.
The circular stated that the appointments were approved by Governor Sanwo-Olu to “reinvigorate the State’s policy implementation apparatus” and strengthen public service delivery across Lagos.

The Head of Service also urged relevant departments to give the circular “deserved publicity” and support the new appointees for a successful tenure.
