Wale Raji-Anomo to the Rescue: Ikosi-Ejinrin Launches Cash Transfer Program to Aid 3,000 Households.

In a move aimed at providing vital support to its residents, kakalistiq.com reports that Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, has inaugurated the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Monthly Conditional Cash Transfer Program. The ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat in Agbowa, marks the beginning of an initiative designed to assist over 3,000 households by offering financial aid of N10,000, coupled with free medical checkups and medications for beneficiaries.

The event drew a distinguished crowd, including prominent figures such as the Vice Chairman, Alh. Wasiu Dehinsilu; SLG, Hon Miniru Temitope; and esteemed traditional rulers like HRM Oba Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, HRM Oba Saheed Owolabi Momson, HRM Oba Elias Adedapo Omoloro, and HRM Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari. Notable attendees also included former ES, Hon. Yusuf Sulaimon; Mrs. Modinat Yusuf, APC Vice-chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin; Supervisor for WAPA, Hon. Kareemat Hassan; Council Manager, Mr. Sunday Awobajo; and CT, Mr. Lawal Adeshina. Renowned actress Sola Kosoko added glitz to the occasion with her presence.

In his address, Chairman Anomo acknowledged the economic challenges faced by many but expressed optimism regarding the ongoing economic recovery efforts spearheaded by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He underscored his administration’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of residents, citing the program as a direct response to alleviate the hardships faced by ordinary citizens.

“The inauguration of the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Monthly Conditional Cash Transfer Program underscores our unwavering commitment to the welfare of our citizens. We must utilize the allocation provided to us wisely and judiciously, ensuring that it directly benefits those who need it most. Without being oblivious of the fact that we are elected to serve with unparalleled commitment, this program represents a tangible manifestation of our dedication to improving the lives of our residents, and we will continue to prioritize initiatives that have a meaningful impact on their well-being,” he said.

The program aims to select over 200 individuals monthly from various communities to benefit from the cash transfer initiative. This initiative forms part of a comprehensive strategy to empower residents and enhance their overall quality of life.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, HRM Oba Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu, commended Chairman Anomo for his proactive governance approach. He expressed satisfaction with the chairman’s efforts and urged him to continue prioritizing residents’ welfare while exploring additional empowerment opportunities.

The council-manager, Mr. Sunday Awobajo, praised Chairman Anomo’s people-centric leadership style, affirming the council’s steadfast commitment to fulfilling its promises and improving the lives of Ikosi-Ejinrin residents.
