Kakalistiq.com reports that Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru representing Lagos East Senatorial District has facilitated the construction and rehabilitation of several critical roads, improving accessibility and quality of life for thousands of residents, commuters, and motorists.
Among the ongoing projects are the 1.2-kilometer Dagbolu Road in Majidun, 1.2-kilometer Agunfoye Road in Igbogbo, and 1.2-kilometer Ojokoro Road in the Agric area of Ikorodu West LCDA.
Additionally, Ibu-Owo and Jalajugbo Roads are currently under construction, with completion expected to significantly ease transportation challenges, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities in these communities.
According to his media aide, Enitan Olukotun, plans are already in motion to commence work on Apena Jimbo, Nurudeen Owolabi, and GRA 2 Roads, further demonstrating the Senator’s commitment to addressing infrastructural deficits across the district.
He noted that these projects complement the ongoing 32-kilometer Ikorodu-Itokin Road reconstruction, a major artery connecting various communities and towns in Lagos East. The road, once completed, is expected to transform transportation and commerce in the region.
During a recent community engagement, Mr. Enitan Olukotun disclosed that residents of Ojokoro and Dagbolu expressed their gratitude for the Senator’s proactive approach to development. He noted that they praised Senator Abiru’s efforts not only in road construction but also in facilitating schools, hospitals, ambulances, medical supplies, electricity transformers, stadia, markets, youth centers, and the establishment of SAIL Innovation Labs in Ikorodu and Ibeju-Lekki.
