In the spirit of Ramadan, kakalistiq.com reports that the Epe Club, under the leadership of Hon. Engineer Adebola Shabi, has distributed food boxes to five central mosques across the Epe Division.
This initiative aims to support the Muslim community during the holy month, reinforcing the club’s commitment to charity and community service.
Speaking during an interview at the T-Junction Club House in Epe, Club Secretary Hon. Akeem Oluwo, who represented the president, emphasized the club’s dedication to giving back, especially to the less privileged during this sacred period.
“The food boxes have been carefully distributed to ensure they reach major towns within the Epe Division,” Oluwo stated. “Each central mosque, including First Epe Central Mosque Oke-Balogun, Epe Central Mosque Ita-Opo, Okemagba, Agbowa and Lekki Central Mosques, will receive an average of 100 boxes to be shared among Muslim faithful and those in need.”
The distribution process saw various religious leaders receiving donations on behalf of their communities. At the First Central Mosque, Oke-Balogun, Sheikh Muhideen Balogun, Associate Professor Nosiru Onibon, and Alhaja Olushola Alade-Raji accepted the food boxes on behalf of the Grand Chief Imam of Epe Division, Fadeelatul Sheikh Abiola Sadallah. Similarly, at Epe Central Mosque, Ita-Opo, the packages were handed over to the mosque leadership representing the Chief Imam of Epe Land, Fadeelatul Sheikh Abdulkabir Shamra.
At Okemagba Central Mosque, Sheikh Ahmed Saliu expressed gratitude for the gesture, urging unity and progress within the community to foster good governance.
The distribution exercise, supervised by Epe Club members Mr Sanuth and Mr Taiwo, further highlights the club’s dedication to social welfare and its mission to support the Muslim faithful during the holy month of Ramadan.
