Epe Mega Rally Signals APC’s Unshaken Grip Ahead of July 12 LG Polls.

In a display of political muscle and grassroots dominance, kakalistiq.com reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) turned the Epe Recreation Centre into a carnival of solidarity and power on Monday, July 1, 2025, as thousands of loyalists rallied in anticipation of the upcoming local government elections scheduled for July 12.

From the moment the sun rose, Epe felt less like a town and more like a political theatre, pulsating with chants, colours, and cheers. Leading the charge were notable political stalwarts from Epe Division including Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Bode Oyedele, Dr. Tola Kasali, Hon. Ayo Odeyemi, Hon. Olayinka Oladunjoye, Hon. Dele Onabokun, and Yeye Olayinka Olusanya who rallied behind the party’s candidates in what they described as a litmus test for the 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The July 12 election is not just about chairmanship or councillorship. It is about sending a strong message to the rest of Nigeria that Epe Division remains firmly behind the President and the APC,” Rt. Hon. Ikuforiji declared in a passionate address to the cheering crowd.

The atmosphere was a mix of political fervour and cultural celebration. The rally turned into a festive battleground as Epe LG, Eredo and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDAs showed their strengths, vying for bragging rights with dramatic displays of solidarity, coordinated fashion, choreographed chants, and flag-waving parades. In the background, the air vibrated with the pulse of Afrobeats from Q-dot, sponsored by Epe LG Chairman, and a thrilling performance by a Fuji artiste that kept spirits high.

But beyond the music and merriment lay a serious mission: securing resounding victories for APC candidates across Epe’s 20 wards. The candidates include Princess Surah Animashaun and her running mate Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe for Epe LG; Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye and Hon. Adesanya Lateef for Eredo LCDA; and Akogun Wale Raji Anomo with Hon. Wasiu Dehinsilu for Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.

The Epe rally as organized by the party leadership under Lagos East APC Vice-Chairman, Yeye Olayinka Olusanya and Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA Chairman and Campaign Organizing Secretary, Hon. Sesan Daini saw overwhelming support from organized groups, student unions, transport unions, market men and women, artisans, youth organizations, corporate organizations, all unified in their message: APC is the party of progress.

Rep. Wale Raji, alongside Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, Commissioners Ahmed and Tunde Seriki, and Dr. Hakeem Shittu, and Hon. Adeniyi Saliu did not mince words in their charge to the electorate.

“We must turn out in our numbers, not just because our candidates are competent, but because the performance records are there for all to see. From infrastructural development to social empowerment, our chairmen have delivered and deserve a second term,” Hon. Abiodun Tobun emphasised.

With the stakes higher than ever, party chieftains called on every APC member to begin intensive door-to-door campaigns, urging neighbors, friends, and family to vote. They reminded the people that complacency is a risk, even in strongholds, and that only massive voter turnout can validate Epe Division’s loyalty to the APC and ultimately, the readiness to deliver again for President Tinubu come 2027.

“There is no opposition in Epe. APC is the people’s party. But this time, we need the numbers. We need to demonstrate our political weight. Let the votes speak louder than our words,” Rep. Wale Raji declared, closing his speech to thunderous applause.

As the countdown to the polls continues, the message from Epe is crystal clear, APC is not just campaigning; it is preparing for history.
