Eredo LCDA Chairman Applauds Historic Coronation of Odo-Egiri Kingdom’s Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo

In a historic and momentous coronation ceremony, Kakalistiq.com reports that the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, as he ascended to the throne of the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom. The event, held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, was marked by expressions of gratitude, unity, and a call for collective action in the face of shared responsibilities.

In his address, Chairman Akinloye thanked Almighty Allah for granting them the privilege to witness this important day and congratulated Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo on his elevation to the throne, following the wishes and aspirations of the people of Odo-Egiri.

He highlighted the rich culture and traditions of Odo-Egiri, an ancient town, and mentioned the community’s long-standing desire for a traditional ruler. With Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo’s ascension, the hopes and dreams of the people have been fulfilled.

Chairman Akinloye extended his appreciation to Mr. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, and his cabinet for approving the installation of Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo as the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom. He also commended the efforts of the kingmakers, royal fathers within the LCDA, and other stakeholders who contributed to this significant achievement.

The Chairman emphasized that Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo’s emergence is a divine act, representing the people’s desires and recognizing his commendable contributions to the community and the entire LCDA. He expressed confidence that the new king’s reign would bring peace, tranquility, and rapid development to the Odo-Egiri Kingdom.

In a call for unity, Chairman Akinloye urged the illustrious sons and daughters of Odo-Egiri to set aside past grievances and provide wholehearted support to their new royal father.

Furthermore, he stressed the collective responsibility for security and appealed to the community to collaborate with the government in addressing issues like banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of insecurity. “Before l conclude my address, let me remind you that security is a collective responsibility. Let us assist the government to nip the menace of banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of insecurity in the bud,” he said.

Chairman Akinloye concluded his address by offering congratulations to His Royal Majesty and wishing him a peaceful and successful reign. “Kabiyesi o, kade pe lori, ki bata pe lese, esin oba ajoko pe,” he retorted, signifying the beginning of a new era under the leadership of Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo.
