Free Medical Outreach Launched in Ibeju Lekki: Lagos State Government Delivers Essential Health Services. 

Kakalistiq.com reports that the first round of the 2024 medical outreach organized by the Lagos State Government, in collaboration with Lagos Health District 3 and Ibeju Lekki LGA, commenced at Iberekodo Primary School.

The initiative provides free medical services, including eye care with free glasses, treatment for common ailments, and immunizations for children. Additionally, food packs were distributed, courtesy of the Lagos State Government and Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.
According to Akadiri Ayorinde, Chief Press Secretary to the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Chairman, Mr. Tajudeen Sindiku Oniwonlu and Hon. Olamilekan Almubaraq Higara, representing the Ibeju Lekki Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, were present to hand out the food packs to beneficiaries.

Reacting to the development, Hon. Olamilekan Almubaraq Higara said, “This medical outreach is a testament to our commitment to the health and well-being of the people of Ibeju Lekki. By providing essential healthcare services and nutritional support, we are not only addressing immediate health needs but also paving the way for a healthier future for our community. It’s about bringing healthcare closer to the people and ensuring that no one is left behind.”

In the same vein, Mr. Tajudeen Sindiku Oniwonlu also shared his thoughts on the exercise, saying, “The significance of this initiative cannot be overstated. Access to healthcare is a fundamental right, and through this outreach, we are making sure that everyone, especially the underserved, gets the medical attention they need.” “This effort will have a multiplier effect, improving overall public health, boosting productivity, and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. It’s a comprehensive approach to community development.”
