In a remarkable revelation during the Tobun for Real Team Get-Together in Epe, kakalistiq.com reports that Hon. Abiodun Mustain Tobun, the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Epe Constituency I, outlined ambitious plans for the upcoming year, promising groundbreaking projects and initiatives.
Hon. Tobun, who also chairs the House Committee on Commerce, Trade, Investment, and Cooperatives, shared his vision for Epe’s development, standing alongside prominent figures such as Dr. AbdulHakeem Tugbobo, LASU Governing Council Member, and Hon. Ahmed Seriki, Commissioner representing Epe Division in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission.
Highlighting the dire need for a sporting facility in Epe, Hon. Tobun revealed plans to establish a world-class stadium through a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) arrangement. The proposed stadium aims to meet international standards and is being considered for the Free Trade Zone axis.
Among the numerous projects in the pipeline, Hon. Tobun emphasized the inclusion of the linking of Ward C1 of Epe Local Government with Central Lagos in the 2024 budget. This initiative seeks to reduce travel time, boost infrastructure, and open up new areas for development. This will facilitate accessibility to regions like Ladaba, Ipeshu, Ito-Omu, Ladaba, Oko Abe, and others.
“These locations will experience increased accessibility, representing a new phase for Lagos. These are areas with available land for potential development. Establishing estates in these areas will contribute to boosting the state’s revenue and improving the living standards of the residents in that vicinity,” he affirmed.
Additionally, he hinted that plans are underway to address safety concerns on the Lekki-Epe Expressway by completing the bridge components. The ongoing Jetty project at Aiyetoro, scheduled for completion by mid-2024, will offer ferry services from Epe to Marina and Ajah.
Hon. Tobun’s commitment to youth and widow empowerment is evident through planned ICT training in computer application, appreciation, and coding, as well as a student support program. Urging cooperation with the federal and state governments, Hon. Tobun expressed his dedication to ensuring a secure, clean, and investor-friendly Epe.
Earlier, the Chief Coordinator and Chief Adviser of the group, Prince Wale Idowu and Hon. Bolanle Iberu, affirmed the commitment of the organization to ensuring the continued delivery of quality representation by Hon. Tobun. The group, known for impactful projects like boreholes, has initiated the Tobun For Real Food Barns Scheme, providing food relief to its members.
Hon. Tobun and his wife expressed gratitude to the group, especially the Apex members, for their dedicated support, including personal financial contributions towards promoting good governance.
As the Tobun for Real Team continues to serve as a dynamic platform for constituents, Hon. Abiodun Tobun’s revelations underscore his unwavering commitment to using governance as a tool for positive change in Epe Constituency I.
