LASUBEB Warns Public Against Fraudulent Teacher Recruitment Ads

Kakalistiq.com reports that the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has warned the public sternly regarding fraudulent online advertisements claiming to offer primary school teaching positions in Lagos State. These ads, crafted by unscrupulous individuals, are not sanctioned by the board.

In an official statement signed by the Board’s Chairman, Dr. Hakeem Shittu, LASUBEB firmly denied any involvement in these online job postings. “It has come to the Board’s notice that some fraudulent individuals have been posting job advertisements on some websites offering teaching positions for primary school teachers in Lagos State and requesting registration by filling out recruitment forms online,” Dr. Shittu stated.

Stressing that the advertisements are the handiwork of criminals who are hell-bent on scamming unsuspecting public members, the board emphasized that it has not employed any online medium for recruiting primary school teachers and warned individuals against providing personal information or making payments through these fraudulent websites.

“LASUBEB categorically dissociates itself from these adverts and website offerings regarding this subject. The job advertisements are entirely false and are intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. We clarify that we have not engaged any individual or job website to advertise job positions on behalf of the Board. All job advertisements that suggest the contrary should be disregarded,” he averred.

Dr. Shittu further advised the public to be vigilant and ignore such emails or advertisements. “In the event that any individual receives an email from any platform or website advertising teaching opportunities for public primary school teachers, please DISREGARD the message; do not supply any personal details or make payments to any individual or website,” he urged.

LASUBEB’s statement aims to protect the public from these fraudulent schemes and ensure that official recruitment processes are transparently communicated through legitimate channels.
