POSA Holds 4th Annual General Meeting, Sets Bold Vision for Progress.

In a resplendent gathering witnessed by excited members, kakalistiq.com reports that the esteemed Pobuna School Hall, Mr Dapo Komolafe, President of the Pobuna Old Students Association (POSA), on Saturday 11th, May 2024, set the tone for the advancement of the alumni at the 4th Annual General Meeting of Pobuna Secondary Grammar School.

Reflecting on the association’s journey, Komolafe outlined the remarkable milestones achieved since the adoption of the new constitution, heralding a new era for POSA. With commendable electoral conduct overseen by a dedicated 3-man electoral body, the seamless transition to a new executive marked a testament to the association’s commitment to democratic principles.

In his address, Komolafe unveiled an ambitious agenda for the new executive, ranging from the registration of all old students into POSA membership to the completion of the school hall. Emphasizing the need for collective action, Komolafe rallied alumni support behind these lofty goals, stressing that their realization hinges on the concerted efforts of all stakeholders.

Reflecting on past initiatives, Komolafe expressed concern over the tepid response to membership registration efforts, urging sub-set EXCOs to galvanize their members towards active participation. Similarly, he underscored the imperative of financial sustainability, highlighting the need for increased subscription remittances to bolster the association’s coffers.


As the meeting progressed, Komolafe unveiled plans for the reconstitution of the Board of Trustees and urged members in the diaspora to establish cell groups, enhancing inclusivity and engagement. With a nod to constitutional review efforts and the successful implementation of the Group Life Insurance scheme, Komolafe underscored the association’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Amidst discussions on the school hall renovation and forthcoming anniversary celebrations, Komolafe took a solemn moment to honour departed members, reflecting on the transient nature of life and the enduring legacy of camaraderie fostered by POSA.

Expressing gratitude to contributors and attendees alike, Komolafe concluded the meeting with a call to action, urging members to embrace innovation and collaboration to propel POSA to greater heights. A critical segment of the gathering focused on fundraising efforts for the upcoming 55th anniversary, resulting in substantial donations totalling millions of naira from enthusiastic members. Discussions also centred on strategies to foster a vibrant alumni community, with an emphasis on fostering cohesion among members.
