She continues to stand by the vulnerable, especially during these tough economic times. It’s not just about the money; it’s about showing that someone cares.”

He also urged the beneficiaries to appreciate the Chairman’s gesture. “Let’s acknowledge her efforts, no matter how small. When leaders see their work being appreciated, it encourages them to do even more,” he said. He further appealed to the youth, urging them to shift away from using social media for negative criticism. Instead, he suggested they share constructive feedback to help improve community initiatives.

Hon. Toyin Gbadamosi, APC Chairman for Epe, also lauded the Chairman’s proactive approach. “It’s not every day you see local government leaders taking such deliberate steps. The Chairman’s actions are a clear testament to her compassion. “The cash palliative will surely excite the recipients here today, and it’s obvious on their faces as they smiled home,” he noted. “Princess Surah is a leader with a difference, and I urge those who have not yet received to be patient because everyone’s turn will come.”

Speaking to the press, Hon. Seriki Olabowale expressed surprise at the scale of the initiative. “As a female leader, the Chairman has shown incredible resilience, especially given the current economic situation. “With the economic hardship, a ₦20 million cash palliative of ₦10,000 to this number of people will go a long way,” he remarked. “It’s a laudable one, and it should be sustained.”

He added that the relief program has also eased the burden of complaints often encountered during ward meetings. “This being the 8th edition, it’s clear she’s earned the support of all ward chairmen for a second term. We believe she should continue and do more.”
