Kakalistiq.com reports that Lagos State Tourism and Naija Brand Chic (NBC) are set to elevate the business landscape with their joint venture, the NBC Trade Fair, promising an unprecedented economic boost.

Hon. Idris Aregbe

Last year’s NBC Trade Fair saw over 200 vendors converge, raking in millions in sales. This year, with Lagos State throwing its weight behind the initiative, the target is set even higher—a whopping 5 billion Naira in sales for Lagos-based businesses.

Mr. Idris Aregbe, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, expressed anticipation for the monumental event. “We’re gearing up for an event of unprecedented scale,” he announced, emphasizing the potential for substantial economic growth through the fair.

Covering a diverse array of sectors, including lifestyle, fashion, services, and innovation, the fair offers a unique platform for vendors and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, enriching Lagos’ bustling economic landscape.

Nollywood icon, Toyin Abraham, has been unveiled as the ambassador for the joint fair, adding star power to the event. Scheduled for June 14–16, 2024, at the Whitestone Event Center in Lagos, the fair promises three days of networking, business opportunities, and entertainment.

According to Nelly Agbogu, the fair’s organizer, this year’s event will expand to accommodate the ambitious sales target. “From household items to cultural attractions, the fair will encompass a broad spectrum of offerings,” she stated, highlighting the inclusive nature of the event and its potential for community growth and connection.
