NYCN Epe Branch Strengthens Ties with Local Government for Community Progress

Kakalistiq.com reports that the executives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe Branch, led by Comr. Ladele Ismail Oluwaseyi embarked on a momentous visit to the office of Princess Surah Animashaun, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, on October 10, 2023. This significant encounter aimed to deliberate on various issues on the growth and development of youth in the Epe community.

Princess Surah Animashaun was reported to have extended a warm and gracious welcome to the NYCN executives, fostering an environment of genuine hospitality. Amid the discussions, numerous issues were raised, and the Chairman attentively listened and responded as necessary, demonstrating her sincere engagement with the matters at hand.

The Coordinator, while reacting to the significance of the visit averred that it was important to discuss plans and programs of the youth council with the Chairman, stressing that the meeting culminated in a series of resolutions, emblematic of the collective commitment to fostering progress and prosperity for the community.

Beginning with the security of a suitable permanent office space for the youth council, Ambassador Ladele revealed that the chairman acknowledged the pivotal role of youth within the community, thereby reaffirming her commitment to ensuring that the Youth Council secures a well-equipped office space. “Her dedication to providing a suitable and enduring location for the Council’s daily operations underscores her unwavering support for Epe’s youth,” he retorted.

Speaking on the augmentation of operational funds and council support, which is crucial to the smooth operation of the youth body, Ambassador Ladele stated that the Chairman pledged to enhance the operational funds and extend comprehensive support to the Youth Council. This infusion of resources, he said, will empower the youth council to embark on more ambitious projects and initiatives that directly benefit the community.

He added that the esteemed Chairman’s dedication to the community’s betterment stands as a symbol of inspiration while also reiterating her unwavering commitment to driving positive change within the community.

As regards the establishment of strong stakeholder partnerships, the coordinator disclosed that the collaborative effort required for community development was emphasized, stressing that the Chairman assured more frequent engagements with stakeholders in the community. “Through these partnerships, the Local Council leadership hopes to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Epe while actively discouraging violence and theft. The goal is to build a united, respectful, and inclusive community together,” he said.

In addition to these resolutions, the NYCN executives conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed Chairman for her dedicated involvement in numerous ongoing community projects. According to them, her leadership has been instrumental in initiatives ranging from ambitious road construction projects to the creation of a state-of-the-art event center. Moreover, it was noted that her unwavering support for drainage clearing and educational programs reflects a holistic approach to community development.
