United for Victory: Ibeju-Lekki and Lekki APC Chieftains Advocate Door-to-Door Voter Drive Amid Shifting Political Tides.

In a powerful show of solidarity and political foresight, kakalistiq.com reports that chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered at the Iberikodo Primary School in Ibeju-Lekki on Thursday for a high-energy campaign rally marked by renewed unity, strategic mobilization, and clear electoral targets.

The rally was graced by party heavyweights, including the revered Divisional Leader and GAC member, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, alongside Dr. Tola Kasali, Alhaji Bode Oyedele, Alhaji Tunde Isiaka, federal lawmaker Rep. Bayo Balogun, the State Welfare Secretary of the APC, Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi and State Youth Leader Dr. Seriki Muritala. Together, they reinforced the party’s readiness for the upcoming local government elections with eyes set firmly on both July 12’s ballot and the bigger picture of 2027.

In a spirited address, Alhaji Seriki Bamu hailed the visible unity now evident among political leaders in Ibeju-Lekki, noting it as a critical step toward delivering victory. He commended Hon. Engr. Sesan Olowa and Hon. Engr. Rasaq Bamidele Kasali, the council chairmen seeking re-election, for their sterling performance and grassroots impact. Baba Bamu called on councillors to stay embedded within their wards, living among the people, and serving not just as politicians but as accessible community builders.

Dr. Tola Kasali, speaking with bold conviction, declared, “I have the feeling that we will carry the day across Lagos State,” urging party members to return to their communities with renewed zeal. He emphasized voter turnout as a critical weapon, promising that the ward with the highest voter numbers would be handsomely rewarded. “Go back home and mobilize. Let the votes speak,” he charged.

Similarly, Alhaji Bode Oyedele echoed his optimism, affirming that APC candidates across Epe Division were on solid ground to clinch victory. Yet, the mood turned more cautionary with Alhaji Tunde Isiaka, who highlighted the evolving political landscape of Ibeju-Lekki. He pointed out the changing demographics fueled by the influx of thousands of non-indigenous residents due to landmark projects like the Dangote Refinery which is a direct result of Lagos APC’s developmental agenda. He urged party loyalists to step up with targeted, door-to-door campaigns, especially within non-native communities, warning that complacency could cost them dearly. “Out of the over six million registered voters in Lagos, we’ll be glad to secure four million or more,” he emphasized.

Electoral targets were not left to chance. Hon. Mojeed Fatai, representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, set a goal of 15,000 votes, while Rep. Bayo Balogun ambitiously projected 100,000 votes for the federal constituency. In a bid to inspire healthy competition, Hon. Olowu, the Special Adviser on Energy and Mineral Resources, pledged a cash prize of ₦1 million to the ward with the highest vote tally.

Adding a strategic layer to the rally, Hon. Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue, stressed that the upcoming election is not merely local but a litmus test for the 2027 general elections and President Tinubu’s legacy. Hon. Oladele Ajayi, Lagos State Assembly member for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II, reminded the crowd that their votes should reflect gratitude for the APC-led infrastructural boom, citing the Almighty Dangote Refinery, ongoing Coastal Road project and the first-term achievements of the council chairmen.

In a celebratory climax, Yeye Olayinka Olusanya, APC Vice-Chairman for Lagos East Senatorial District, joined party chieftains to present flags to the council chairmen, their deputies, and councillorship candidates across Ibeju-Lekki. The symbolic gesture reaffirmed the party’s collective commitment to a united front heading into the polls.

The rally was not just political, it was a festival of unity, color, and renewed energy, as party supporters danced, laughed, and reconnected in anticipation of victory. With the clarion call clear and the mission defined, APC’s Ibeju-Lekki campaign machine is fired up, armed with unity, strategy, and grassroots power.
