Unveiling Symbols of Growth: The 4th Edition of Epe Division Community Annual Awards Narrative.

Kakalistiq.com reports that the Lagos Theater, aglow with the spirit of unity, played host to the 4th edition of the Epe Division Community Annual Awards (EDCAA), orchestrated by the Concerned Nationbuilders Initiative (CNI), on December 7, 2023. The event, a symphony of symbols, celebrated the vibrant sons and daughters of Epe, encapsulating their dedication and contributions to the community’s development.

The coveted award’s design, featuring curved and elongated double stars, symbolized that the awardees were not just individual stars but an amalgamation of brilliance with nowhere to hide. The glassy trunk’s hourglass construction on the plaque served as a reminder that time is a precious commodity, urging awardees to expedite actions for Epe Division’s advancement.

The fusion of music, dance, and drumming echoed the theme of respect for traditions, with the regal presence of the Elejinrin’s traditional stool represented by esteemed chiefs. This harmonious blend underscores the importance of preserving customs in the modern era.

A highlight of the ceremony was the profound justice done to the theme, “Community Development: All-Inclusive Responsibility,” by erudite Associate Professor Nosiru Onibon, Dr. Bisi Akindele, and Hon. Segun Olulade. Man of the Year, Rt. Hon. Dr. Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji, emphasized unity as the driving force for a common front.

In his insightful address on community development, Professor Onibon delved into the strategic positioning of human resources and the interdependency of leaders. Dr. Bisi Akindele called for the revival of communal responsibility and instilling values in children, while Hon. Segun Olulade encouraged young people to eschew the “Japa” syndrome and explore politics as a means of fostering community development.

Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu and Rt. Hon. Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji emphasized unity as a crucial factor in Epe’s developmental potential, urging stakeholders to overcome selfish interests.

These speakers, symbols of growth, shared their insights on forward-thinking approaches to drive community growth, extending gratitude to the dexterous Director-General, Mr. Idris Tele-Olukoya, for organizing the impactful event.

The awardees, basking in the celebratory atmosphere, symbolized the collective efforts, resilience, and dedication expended to build the Epe Division of their dreams. As the curtain fell on the 4th edition, the anticipation for the 5th edition in 2024 became a symbol of hope, with champions of community growth ready to intensify their efforts for nomination.

The event embodied a profound tapestry of symbols, weaving a narrative of growth, unity, and commitment within the vibrant community of Epe.
