Youth Council Leadership Takes Proactive Steps in Engaging Stakeholders for Community Development

In a dynamic and proactive approach to community leadership, Kakalistiq.com reports that the newly sworn-in Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe local branch, Comrade Moibi Ibrahim, has embarked on a series of official visits to critical stakeholders within and beyond the community. This strategic move aims to build collaborative partnerships and address crucial issues affecting the youth and the overall development of Epe.

Meeting with Epe Local Government Chairman

The NYCN leadership commenced their official visits with a meeting with Epe Local Government Chairman, Princess Surah Animashaun. The focus of this interaction was to advocate for youth-inclusive governance and discuss matters related to education, youth unemployment, empowerment, and community development. The Chairman expressed commitment to addressing the concerns raised, paving the way for potential collaborations between the Youth Council and the local government.

Engaging with the Department of State Security (DSS)

Understanding the vital role of security in community development, the Youth Council leadership visited the Department of State Security Service (DSS), Epe Division. The purpose was to establish a constructive partnership and address concerns related to youth safety and community well-being. Discussions covered topics such as community policing, youth involvement in security initiatives, and strategies to prevent and address emerging security challenges. The DSS officials appreciated the proactive approach of the Youth Council, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in maintaining overall security.

Recognizing Outstanding Contributions

In recognition of outstanding contributions to the community, the NYCN, Epe Branch, presented awards to the Electricity Committee for its exemplary service and tireless dedication to advancing the welfare of the community. The Committee, led by Hon. Tobun Sheriff, received accolades for ensuring a robust, sustainable, and accessible electricity supply that significantly impacts the lives of youth and residents.

Acknowledging Healthcare Excellence

The Youth Council leadership also acknowledged and honored the distinguished Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Ibrahim Akinwunmi Mustafa. A special meeting was convened with the Medical Director and Management of Epe General Hospital to recognize the director’s tireless efforts in enhancing healthcare services within the community. The Medical Director, Dr. Adeshola S. O., received a prestigious award for contributing to the elevation of medical care standards in the community.
