Empowering Tomorrow: National Youth Council Launches 2023 Conference in Epe, Promising a Visionary Path for Youth Success

Kakalistiq.com reports that the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Epe Local Branch, led by Ambassador Ismail Ladele, has kicked off the highly anticipated 2023 youth conference. With an engaging theme and a lineup of distinguished speakers, the event promises to empower youth with the knowledge and skills for a sustainable future.

Themed “Green Skills for Youth Towards a Sustainable World,” the conference aims to address critical issues concerning the environment and drug abuse prevention.

Distinguished guest speakers include Hon. Tokunbo Wahab, Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, and Mr. Osifeko Mark Olaniyi, Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Olawale Raji, MHR. They will share their insights on the role of green skills as a preventive measure against drug abuse.

The event’s panelists, including Prince Ademola Adetola, Mr. Kaka Babatunde, and Comr. Giwa Moshood Olasupo, will contribute to the discussions, with Ambassador Giwa Omotomiwa Anuoluwapo moderating the engaging conversations.

The Chairman of the Day, Dr. Hakeem Shittu, Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), and Co-Chairman of the Day, Professor Basirat Olusola Oladipupo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), will grace the conference with their esteemed presence.

Hon. Surah Olayemi Animashaun, Chairman of Epe Local Government, will serve as the Chief Host, ensuring the event’s success. At the same time, Comrade Ladele Ismail Oluwaseyi, Coordinator of the NYCN Epe Chapter, will host the conference.

Distinguished Guests of Honor include Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District; Hon. Tasir Olawale Raji, Member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency; and Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly for Epe Constituency 1.

Adding a royal touch to the event are HRM. Oba Ishola Kamorudeen Animashaun, Arolugbade Elepe II, the Oloja of Epe Land, and HRM. Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, Bamgbopa Eshilokun 1, Olu Epe of Epe Kingdom, who will serve as the Royal Fathers of the Day.

The program’s schedule includes various activities starting today, December 6, 2023, with a sports day. On December 7, 2023, attendees will visit the Royal Fathers in Epe and the General Hospital in Epe. The grand finale, set for December 8, 2023, will feature the Youth Conference, Award Presentation, Special Jumat Prayer, and the Inauguration of New Executives.

The NYCN Epe Local Branch’s 2023 Youth Conference is poised to be a vibrant platform for youth empowerment, knowledge sharing, and engagement with critical topics for a sustainable world.
