In a swift and decisive move, Kakalistiq.com reports that Princess Surah Animashaun, the Chairman of Epe Local Government, has taken robust measures to combat the prevailing security challenges in Fish Basket town.

The Chairman has implemented a curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, issuing directives affecting markets, clubs, and bars, as well as motorcycle and tricycle operators until further notice. This development follows a series of violent clashes between rival cult groups and a surge in kidnapping incidents, leading to unnecessary loss of life within the community.

In an official letter dated October 4th, 2023, bearing reference number EP/CH/VOL.II/049, addressed to the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Epe Branch, the Chairman stressed the paramount importance of safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens as the primary duty and responsibility of the local government.

Chairman Animashaun’s proactive approach reflects a commitment to restoring peace and security to Fish Basket town, ensuring the well-being of its residents.
