Kakalistiq.com reports that the air was electric with excitement as Eredo LCDA Chairman, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, fulfilled his promise to the Jegbende community by commissioning a new school, a historic event that marked the first significant upgrade in 40 years. Distinguished personalities and community members joined in celebrating this remarkable achievement.
The Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri, HRM Oba Musiliu Oliwo, expressed his elation, saying, “This is a momentous day for our community. The last time we witnessed such a development was three decades ago. Hon. Akinloye has truly honored our hopes and aspirations. This school will serve as a beacon of hope and educational advancement for our children.”
Hon. Muiwa Okesanya, the former Eredo LCDA Sole Administrator, emphasized the potential of this project to curtail rural-urban migration. He said, “Today’s commissioning is a vital step in reducing the exodus of our youths to urban centers in search of quality education. Akinloye’s vision aligns perfectly with the need to provide excellent education right here in our rural setting.”
Baale Oladega Mufutau, the local community leader, radiated joy and enthusiasm throughout the event. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation, saying, “I am overjoyed that this development coincided with my reign. I implore our leaders to consider more developmental programs for our town. This is just the beginning of the transformation we aspire to achieve.”
Mr. Obakoya Ezekiel, the school’s Head Teacher, hailed Hon. Monsuru Akinloye as a “God-sent savior of education.” He remarked, “Our community last experienced such progress in 1983 with a mere three-classroom block. This intervention couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. We are also grateful for the bore-hole water facility, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the APC leadership and Governor Babajide Sanwoolu for entrusting Hon. Akinloye with this noble task.”
Master Obakoya Daniel, the Headboy, expressed gratitude for Hon. Akinloye’s continued support, particularly in providing stationery each term. He also highlighted the significance of the new toilet facilities, which would allow students to focus entirely on their studies without leaving school premises for nature’s call.
The commissioning of the Jegbende school stands as a testament to Hon. Monsuru Akinloye’s unwavering commitment to improving education and ensuring a brighter future for the community’s youth. With heartfelt cheers and emotional reactions, this momentous event has left an indelible mark on Jegbende and Eredo LCDA as a whole.
